Mission Statement

We, the women of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church are drawn together in the Spirit of our Lord to:

+Spread God's word of love

+Grow in our faith

+Increase our self-awareness as children of God

+Nurture our church, our families, and our communities

Our Vision

In response to our Mission statement we will, with God's help:

+ Foster community outreach

+ Support Christian formation

+ Comfort the sick and grieving

+ Encourage Christian fellowship

+ Engage in spiritual study and retreats

+ Study issues of health and well being

+ Increase participation in Diocesan training and workshops

+ Provide pastoral care to our congregation

The Lord willing, we will continue to do all that we do to grow in our faith.

Women's Ministry meets the last Saturday of the month in the rectory or in the home of one of the members of the church.  A luncheon is served followed by a bible study led by one of the members.  Health issues are also discussed.

 

The outreach programs for this year include collecting needed toiletry articles, Pampers, etc. for a homeless shelter in Poughkeepsie and conducting a fund raising event to help support St. Andrew's Food Pantry.

In the past the ministry has sponsored children to the Summer Program at Martin Luther King Cultural Center and sponsored the Heifer Project. 

Gifts are given each year by the Women's Ministry to recognize the graduating seniors from high school, college and graduate school who are members of the congregation.
